This honor is a confirmation of many years of consistently implemented scientific and research work, the effect of which is the creation of an innovative hybrid tomograph for non-invasive examination of the condition of buildings. The awarded hybrid tomograph is a breakthrough tool that allows \u201clooking where the eye cannot reach\u201d \u2013 diagnosing dampness and damage to walls in a completely non-invasive manner, without interfering with the structure of the objects being examined. Tomasz Rymarczyk is based on advanced tomographic methods using the electrical impedance tomography (EIT) as well as artificial intelligence algorithms. Inspired by solutions used in medical tomography, it has allowed the transfer of effective imaging methods to the construction sector, enabling precise assessment of the technical condition of the structure without the need for destructive tests. This technology allows for 2D and 3D analysis, enabling a detailed assessment of the degree of moisture and strength of walls.    <\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:60px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\"><strong>Practical applications and advantages over traditional methods <\/strong><\/h4>\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The hybrid tomograph is dedicated to a wide range of applications, including diagnostics of historic and industrial buildings and so-called large-panel buildings. This solution is also used in assessing the effectiveness of drying techniques, moisture protection and analysis of the impact of external factors, such as floods, on the condition of the structure. The introduction of innovative technology allows for a significant reduction in costs and shortening of research time compared to traditional methods, eliminating the need to take samples and interfere with the structure of the objects. Research and Development Center, as well as cooperation with scientific institutions and industrial partners. The implementation of the project was possible thanks to financial support from the European Funds, which is an example of effective use of available support instruments for the development of innovative technologies.  <\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:60px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\"><strong>Development directions and plans for the future <\/strong><\/h4>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The distinction received motivates further development and adaptation of hybrid tomography technology to new applications. Plans include both continued research and commercialization of the solution on a large scale. The success of the Polish team shows that domestic science and industry can effectively compete on the global market, creating solutions of a unique nature and real impact on improving safety and protecting architectural heritage.
