CoughApp is a cough identification and frequency data collection system
The system consists of:
- a listening device with built-in software equipped with basic artificial intelligence mechanisms
– cough recording
- a web and mobile application responsible for presenting data collected about the user and the device
– cough analytics
CoughAPP functions
The system does not perform diagnostic functions, but only provides the doctor with the necessary information about the frequency of coughing, trends of changes, etc.
The system is a response to the need for effective diagnosis and monitoring/assessment of the patient’s treatment progress in the context of their cough.
System functions
- The ability to precisely register coughing incidents of the user/tested person in the natural environment of their functioning (high degree of measurement accuracy, low sensitivity to external factors).
- The ability to register coughing incidents in the area of: cough duration, frequency of coughing attacks (number on a given day), time of occurrence of attacks.
- Possibility of determining trends in cough changes (reduction/intensification of symptoms).
- Possibility of safe recording of data on cough incidents and transmission of this data to the person responsible for interpreting the results.
- Possibility of constant access to information collected by the recorder.
- Low cost of the device and IT solution.
- Convenience of use and mobility.
